Wallet app looks like crap

That awful white background. The reduced size of the cards, leaving white space on the side. Some cards don't display right on it anymore.

What was Apple thinking? Or were they thinking at all?

Seems fine to me. All my cards display correctly too.

I hate it too. Is it consequential (which I’m sure others will bring up)? No. But the sexy dark interface that was previously there looked much better. Especially since using Wallet cranks the brightness up fully.

I use it a lot but hadn't even noticed it had changed. Who sits and stares at these things? Why?

I don’t care about it or mind the change, but this is clearly a change for change’s sake and serves no legitimate purpose. Literally all they did was change the background from black to white, and add the super large title.

I have some cards where the numer overlays the writing because they were designed for the original size. Boarding passes are also smaller. Anything white looks like crap.

I have four or five white cards on there. Doesn’t really bother me or my eyes.

Any chance of seeing any of them? Details removed if necessary? I have 9 cards/tickets (not including credit/debit cards) and they all align properly, including details that extend to near the edges, and into the corners.

Not saying you’re wrong. I’m just curious what’s inspiring such dislike.

Well calculator looks like... A calculator but the watch app, yep, it's an oddball. There's no denying Apple have made a push to move the design motifs we first saw in Apple Music across the OS (though they have done so with minor inconsistencies in places)

It's a hotel rewards card. The number is on te right of the logo and now overlaps. Folks clamour for a dark theme, and Apple just goes and removes the dark background of one of their app.

I agree, it looks unfinished and like they gave up. I thought it was a bug that would be fixed later, just like the landscape keyboard on the 7+.

Well calculator looks like... A calculator but the watch app, yep, it's an oddball. There's no denying Apple have made a push to move the design motifs we first saw in Apple Music across the OS (though they have done so with minor inconsistencies in places)

I though for sure the black backgrounds of the watch app and wallet would expand to other apps signifying the future move to OLED.
