Hi there everyone, loving my iPhone and iPad so far (recently switched from android equivalents), but among the few things I haven't been able to find a replacement for was an app called Wally. (Google Play Link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.musenkishi.wally&hl=en) It's basically just a nice wallpaper viewer pulling from wallhaven.cc (absolutely gorgeous wallpapers website, though warning: many things are NSFW)

I was wondering if anyone was aware of an app similar to it. Or, if anyone would be interested in working on developing one with me. Wouldn't need to be too fancy.

Thanks!

When you stop hopping on the bandwagon of blind hatred for Apple, it's easy to appreciate all the things they do right. And sometimes that leads to purchasing their products. :)

Thanks for the link. Wallbase collapsed sometime ago and I was looking for an alternative.

I don't think they have an app. There migh be policies that Apple has that prevent these apps in general because of the copyrights. So most of these guys settle with a mobile optimized website.

And welcome. :)

Glad to help! I had never seen such a collection of high quality wallpapers prior to Wallbase (though I suppose I wasn't looking either), so when it went down I too was concerned.

Don't you think Google has similar policies? I don't think it would be infringement of copyright on Apple's part for any reason whatsoever from a third party app? Either way, I just wish there was a better wallpaper app. Maybe sometime soon! Might be a fun project.
