That looks like a normal iPhone.
Not a bug. The perspective moves around a little.
My old 5s does the same (just a little less movement, compared to newer iPs.

It can not be normal. I selected "Still" and the wallpaper acts as if it were in "perspective". And this happens from time to time. I still have not noticed what causes this. Now, for example, the wallpaper is totally static. Do not move anything.

There is no bug here.

You have selected still. The picture is not moving.

You are seeing the icons move, in line with the perspective movement.

If you want to disable this then enable ‘reduce motion’ in Accessibility.

But it was not to have this move if I selected "still." Right now, my device is correct, he is not making this move. So it's a bug. Sometimes it does, sometimes it does not. And it's not the icons that move the wallpaper. In the video it appears to be the icons because there was a screen recording.

The wallpaper is not moving.

The icons are moving. You turn this off in Accessibility.

Is it normal for icons to move?
Coincidentally I've wiped out all the iPhone's open apps and it's not doing this any more.

If I disable this in accessibility, I will lose all the animation on the device.

What I want to know is: Why does this sometimes happen, and sometimes not?

You're right, those icons are definitely moving. . .Weird that I have never seen this on my X. In fact, I just played around in settings with reduce motion on/off and still can't seem to make mine do it.

In the screen recording it looks like it is the icons that are moving, but seeing through the device is the Wallpaper that moves, as if it were in the "perspective" option. It's a bug that there must be a trigger to activate it and I'm not finding out what it is.

Still not a bug.
It's a standard response.
Not sure what you are all taking about, but when you have chosen a still wallpaper and set it to still (not perspective), the icons most definitely should not move when moving your device around (without touching the screen of course). This is definitely a bug and not normal.

Exactly! That's what I'm trying to say!

The funniest thing is that there are hours that occurs and there are hours that do not occur. I could not find a relationship yet. In the video gives the impression that it are the icons that are moving, but in fact it is the wallpaper that is moving as if it were "perspective" selected.

That is strange. The only think I can think of is maybe Low Power Mode toggling on and then off could be causing a bug where it tells the system to turn perspective (parallax effect) on for the wallpaper once you turn Low Power Mode off.

There had been a bug with iOS 11 in which turning Low Power Mode on and then off would cause Video Autoplay to turn on in App Store Settings.

This could be similar, though I tried testing it and could get the parallax effect at all when it was set to still.

Good! Someone noticed this bug besides me!

Since my iPhone is not doing this bug right now, I can not test it. But I remember turning the Low Power Mode on and off for testing and the bug was there.

I know that when restarting the device this bug could happen!

I rebooted the iPhone several times and wiped the apps open until the bug was gone!

I noticed the bug in your video, but I cannot reproduce it. I am running 11.3 beta though. Maybe it’s fixed.

thats pretty obvious...

You have made the WALLPAPER still.
This is shown to be correct in the video.
The wallpaper IS NOT moving.

Icon movement has NOTHING to do with the wallpaper setting.
Reduce motion exists for this exact reason.

Please do not talk down to people that have been here for years. This is quite common knowledge to a lot of members. Thanks

Sorry bud, but you couldn’t be more wrong. We are talking about the parralax effect of the icons that occurs when you set your wallpaper to “Perspective.” Here’s an excerpt from Apple’s support page regarding wallpaper.

“You can choose Perspective, so the wallpaper moves as you tilt your screen. Or you can choose Still, so the wallpaper doesn't move. The Perspective display option isn't available when Reduce Motion is on or when Low Power Mode is on.”

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200285

Ps: I also have been on this forum for years, but that has absolutely nothing to do with my tech experience. I’m sure you know, but many people post the same false information or lack of understanding over and over again which does not qualify them as an expert. Your “common knowledge” base is misinformed my friend.

I respect your opinion and reply, but your extract is just rewording what me and several others have been saying the whole time...

The wallpaper isnt moving in the video. This is obvious when you look at the edge of the wallpaper, it doesnt move. The icons do. Reduce motion disables this.

The reason wallpaper parallax isnt available when reduce motion is enabled is because wallpaper parallax would mean movement - which would diminish the reason Reduce motion exists - to remove all motion and increase battery life.

In the video there is this impression that who moves are the icons precisely because in VIDEO there is no way to simulate the movement of the wallpaper, but, as I said, when seeing the device, what moves is the wallpaper and not the icon.

If I select "still", it should behave as static rather than "perspective". Reduce Motion strips all the effects of the device, looking like we are in 1990. So I want to have the transition effects along with the static wallpaper. It's a bug for the reason that I'm not presenting the problemright now I recorded on my device.

It's very weird.

OHHHH
oh okay thats fair enough.
The problem is in that case that the recording is recording the ‘wallpaper dimensions’ and not the screen dimensions.. that is the only explanation which makes sense. Because the video looks like the wallpaper isnt moving at all. So maybe the recording isnt picking up what you are saying, properly :)

I’m out, i cant replicate it and to me the video doesnt show it. But either way, report it with apple and pray haha
