I just installed Sonoma RC2. Every time I change the wallpaper the OS changes it back within seconds.

How do I change my wallpaper? This is driving me crazy.

Same issue for me cannot set wallpaper and shuffle them from my albums in Photos. SMH. Every time I try to use my own images in Photos albums it reverts to the Sonoma Vineyard wallpaper. Thx Apple.

This is also happening to me, and I have TopNotch installed, every time I enable it the wallpaper changes back to first one.

Hi,
My lock screen kept changing back to the ventura one but I fixed this issue by going into my Hard Drive : /library/caches/Desktop Pictures/
I had the Ventura desktop picture.png in this folder for some reason so I deleted it, since then everything has been okay.

Not saying it will work for you, but it fixed my issue.

On further investigation, the ventura screen reappeared, the issue is resolved by selecting the screensaver system prefs and choosing both the screensaver you want and check the "use as desktop" setting, but don't open the wallpaper system prefs and select from there the wallpaper and check the "use as screensaver"setting, that is what is causing the conflict.

I am also no longer able to set my wallpaper to automatically shuffle through an album from Photos.
I submitted FB12202204 for this on May 24, 2023 as it started on macOS 13.4 and has continued thru this Summer's entire beta cycle.

I followed Derrick1's post and have managed to get the images onto the screen but they are not animated. Has anyone managed to download an animated screensaver?
