Wallpaper problem since upgrading to 2.0!

I upgraded my 1st gen iPhone to the 2.0 firmware today, and am liking it so far but I have a niggly problem that is bothering me. I had my iPhone jailbroken while using 1.1.4 and I had both Customize and Summerboard installed. Now that I've upgraded to 2.0, the lock screen wallpaper I had been using with my jailbroken 1.1.4 is still there, and I can't seem to change it for love nor money. Is there any way I can get rid of this? I just want to be able to use a photo from my camera album as my lock screen wallpaper (well, until they release something like Summerboard for 2.0!)

Sure but you're not going to like the option:

Restore your phone w/2.0 and then set it up as a new phone. The problem lies in your backup from 1.1.4 phone. Most likely Customize left an incorrect permissions setting on the Lockbackground.jpg file and that is what is preventing you from changing it.

Of course another option is to use Pwnage 2.0, install terminal from Cydia and then you can reset the permissions on the file.

Hi, thanks for your response.

I had thought I might have to go back and set up as a new phone... I'm not keen on doing this because I don't want to lose my text messages. Unless it is possible to set up an iPhone as a new phone and then later go back and restore from an old backup? If that's possible that should fix my problem and then allow me to restore all my old data, right?

If not, I already have Cydia on my iPhone, so I could install Terminal. I wouldn't know which file to change the permissions for, though...

If you could assist me any further it'd be greatly appreciated!

Yup hang on let me dig out my script files from iSwitcher...

Okay so back on 1.1.4 whenever I installed a new wall paper I reset the owner. Here's the script command:

chown 501:wheel /var/mobile/Library/LockBackground.jpg

If the command runs without errors you will be able to swap your wall paper.
