This probably isn't the right place for this and I apologize. I will understand if moderators move or delete the thread...

I have been searching everywhere for the iPad version of the stock iOS 9 wallpaper shown below. It's very easy to find the iPhone version, but it doesn't look right when stretched across the display of even an iPad mini due to the different aspect ratio and resolution. Can anyone help me out?

I don't remember there ever being an iPad version of that wallpaper.

There certainly was. It was one of my favourites. I switch up my wallpaper frequently, but I miss having it as one of my go-to selections. It disappeared as of iOS 10 along with many other wallpaper selections. I don't understand why they need to remove wallpapers, especially since they only added one to iOS 10. It's not like they can take up that much storage.

Me either and I have a great memory. There was a green leaf/fronds but not this one.

I'm curious which iPads you ran iOS 9 on. It's possible that there may have been different stock wallpapers based on screen size. I can guarantee with 100%, bet my life on it certainty that this wallpaper was among the stock options on my iPad Mini 4, and on the iPad Air 1 I sometimes used at work, through all versions of iOS 9.

How is that a default wallpaper? It would only show full image on portrait mode

No, you see, if you have the iPad version designed for the 4:3 aspect ratio it fits in either orientation, just like any other stock wallpaper. This is part of the reason why just using the iPhone version, designed for a 16:9 ratio, is no good.

To prove that I'm not mistaken I found an old iPad 2 running iOS 9.3.5.

The wallpaper in question is clearly among the defaults
