I've had a pesky problem where I set background images (either the ones that came with the Mac or one of my images) and they get reset to the last one I created at some previous point.

I'm using Mac OS/X 10.8.4.

If I go into the Change Desktop Background, the background image I want (the "wallpaper") to appear is the default one shown, but it's still not the one displayed after the "revert" to a previous one.

I've researched this issue a bit and found some command to delete/reset things, but none of those ideas helped at all. The reverting wallpapers happen on all the virtual desktops, not just the main one. I've also looked at the items the utility "Cocktail" offers, but there appears to be no help there.

Just wondering if anyone has run into and fixed this "wallpaper" revering issue successfully.

Something strange here...

Thanks very much in advance.
