He did say it at his Stanford commencement speech. Not originally his, though he popularized it. He explains how it was from the Whole Earth Catalog that he used to read.

You really should get into fact checking before blurting out such wrong (and easily proven) facts.

He said this during the Stanford commencement speech. It was a tag line from an old catalog/ magazine he used to read. The last issue said that line.
