Does this mean the new one is around the corner, or will the C-V push the release back? :(

IPad Pro retail channel is officially dry. Checked with Target buddy today. 11” iPad Pro are still at a few stores. But None are coming none are available or on order. So what Target owns as inventory has been pushed out to stores and that’s it. So from what I’ve Learned over the years once the “channel is dry” thats it new model announcement 30-60 days away.

Costco stopped selling the 11 and Amazon 11 availability keeps going back and forth between March28, April 3 or none available.

Walmart was already selling it at a discounted price. I doubt it would’ve gone any lower than that.

I'm in for a new iPad Pro 12.9. I have the original one, several years old but still runs like a champ. My late mother gave it to me for Christmas the year it came out so I can't part with it but I think I'll get the new one this go-around.

Any odds that there's Apple Pencil 3 that only works with the new models?

We won't see another Apple Pencil anytime soon. It was 3 years between releases of 1st and 2nd gen. They don't update accessories that often.

I just purchased a new one today at a large discount - I know a refresh is on the way, but I'm ok with the previous model, esp for the price I got it for.
That’s good. From an authorized reseller? I’d buy one at a deep discount, but there aren’t any places left.

Everybody all thinking that we are getting a new iPad when it’s probably just the coronavirus messing up the supply chain

....Or it’s the coronavirus AND a new iPad.

Pro models don’t need as high a supply as regular iPads so if MiniLED isn’t ready then a minor Spring20 refresh still makes sense. And then a new design 5G MiniLED a14x model a year later for Spring2021.

Edit: I guess inventory is becoming newsworthy. This is getting exciting.

Forbes Article. Short Supply May Indicate Imminent iPad Reveal

But then why would Walmart offer such a deep, inventory clearing, discount (for weeks?)
I’ll probably buy one if they come back in stock and I manage to sell my iMac.

Shipping time for iPP is 1-2 weeks from Apple in my country. iPad and iPad Air is in stock. It is possible that this is COVID-19 issue but then it only affects iPP. Possible but strange.

On Amazon US, several iPad configurations are also out of stock (from 10.2" iPad to iPad Pro).

Here in the U.K on Apple's website the 12.9" iPad Pro delivery dates and in store pick up has dates slipping to 24th-27th March. This could be due to the virus spreading, but it could also mean that Apple are about to announce a new one.

Will they just do a website refresh or hold an event at the end of the month. I'm thinking they won't hold an event with this virus doing the rounds.

Corona virus and supply constraints are the issue. Usually when this occurs, nothing new comes out. I did expect a refresh this spring before, but now... I think due to all this Zombie-Apocalypse it will either be updated online or held back a few months (if not June, I see September/October.) But I don’t see much Apple can due until it’s safe to do mass manufacturing then ship them from China without the risk of contamination.

Amazon got some back in stock, but their prices fluctuate every hour.
$800, $780, $760, $735...
guess I just have to keep checking Walmart.
