Want 27" 2nd monitor, iMac controls brightness

What iMac do you have?
Depending on the year and OS, there are some solutions involving the Apple Thunderbolt Monitor. No one knows if they still work.
Otherwise, there’s an App called EasyOnTheEyes in the App Store. It’s free and seems to work across the board.
There is no 3rd party monitor I know that supports control from Displays. I could be wrong but I can’t find anything from anyone.

What are you expecting? I gave the correct answer. What you want desn’t exist.
There is an app that promises the same functionality. Whether it works or not is something you’ll have to tell us.

Get a 3rd-party display with easily-reachable user controls.
When new, calibrate it using the Displays pref pane and get it how you like it.
That will do just fine.
If all you want is the ability to "dim down the display" from maximum brightness to some lower setting, use the "Shades" preference pane. Works well enough.
