Hi, I remember playing a game on my mothers computer in the early 90´s and since she was not a computer person I assume the game was already on it. It was in black and white and you played a character who was travelling around the world to find a thief ( or some other criminal). You could go to some cities in the world, like 5 or 10 or something like that in Asia and Africa and Europe also. I think it was a click game. No movies or so in it.

Please help me to find it! I have googled it like a thousand times without luck!

Thank you!

I still have the original box on both Where in the World and Where in Europe!
The "Where in the World" came with a encyclopedia and the Where in Europe came with some kind of traveling guide / Atlas.

The games can be played on both B&W and color on early macs and was released mid 1980s.

I loved those games, and they really helped me to learn english :D

thank you

Thank you! I dont know if that was it! Maybe, it sure sounds like it. Do you know where I can find it to play on my computer ( mac) ?

Thank you again

Awesome site dmr! It even has Happyweed! :D
Heh, I remember playing that on a later, faster OS9 Mac. The game has no clock limiter, so it would play at about a million miles an hour.

Interesting tidbit: There is a brief sound in that game that kind of sounds like a woman grunting (I can't remember what would trigger it to play) , and it's actually a very brief sample from the movie "Aliens", when Ripley is coming down (or up?) the elevator with Newt at the end of the movie (when everything is exploding). Weird.
