I want to buy a used MacBook on eBay for school (and uni since I have one year left in highschool), beginner music production, programming, and web browsing. And I am looking for MacBooks between 1500-2000 BRL, but don't know which model to chose. I have been interested in 15" 2015 MacBook pros, but I'm concerned about software support, and heard pretty bad things about butterfly MacBooks, so I don't know what to chose. Any help?

Just one person’s opinion… but a Vintage (2015 or earlier) Mac is best for a hobbyist/tinkerer, not for a student. There is A LOT that can go wrong, and an older Mac isn’t necessarily the “bargain” you hope it will be.

But, your budget (300-400 USD) certainly won’t get you a newer Mac.

If the budget won’t stretch to get something more modern, you should really consider a stop-gap alternative like a Chromebook or cheap Windows computer.

Yeah, in 2023 you really need an Apple silicon device. The only marginally good option would be a 2019 16" (must be 16" so it's not butterfly!) MacBook Pro with an i9 chip. Those are like $500-600.
Personally, I would save up to get a better one.
