Just like the subject says, I'm ready to buy the new iMac but have not seen anything about providing a drop in version of Snow Leopard to help boost sales before SL comes out. I thought they did this with the release of Leopard, do you think it will happen soon with SL or will I have to wait until the release date?

Maybe wait with your purchase until the WWDC and see what Apple has to announce. I'm following my own advice on that too.

"Drop-ins" do not appear until after the release/shipping date of a new OS. Macs purchased after that date that don't already have it installed get either a drop-in or can participate in the Up To Date program, receiving a DVD (for usu. $9.95 shipping).

So, I hope Apple announces a shipping date of SL at WWDC. I'm crossing my fingers.
