Hi Guys,

I want to record a 2 min clip from a movie on Netflix on my iPad. I don't want to record or download the entire move just the 2 mins part in middle of the movie on Metflix ! Can I do that? is there an APP on iPad by which I can do that ?

I am still on iOS 9.3.5 on my iPad 3 that's also a problem want something which will work with that ?

Doubt you find anything without jailbreaking on older iOS versions or that require a PC/Mac too. From time time time there have been apps that snuck through that could (one was called iRec), but since it goes against Apple's guidelines they ended up being removed.

Ahhh... running on nearly six year old tech does make it a bit more complicated. Let us know what you come up with!

I found that there are tons of APP's for Desktop but very little for iOS APP so I ran the movie on my computer and recorded there. I am still in a hunt for a good iOS APP which lets me do this on my iPad 3 running iOS 9.3.5

Screen record does not record protected content. With Netflix it’ll only record the soundtrack, not the video.
^^this^^ iTunes, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, Google Videos, etc, won’t work with screen record...
But a loophole (not really a loophole) but work around... I record my 4K tv in 4K 60fps and then crop the video’s edges. Besides the sound not being the best, it works great still.

Yes I have not tried and tested this but looks it could very well be the case !

Update guys I just used screen record in iOS 11 and tried to record a trailer from the Apple trailer site which is also a copyright site and the screen record does record the video and the audio both ! So it does work !

Guys I was wrong earlier, using the screen record button on the iPad Pro it records whatever is playing on the screen for e.g. in my case I was recording a movie trailer from trailers.apple.com so it did record the clip but there was no sound recorded. Can anyone else also try doing this experiment ? and please let me know. If this happens with everyone ?

It recorded my video and sound from playing the original Incredibles 2 trailer from the Trailers app.

Please explain how you did this
