Want to set up iphone as new but want to keep texts

Ok so my iphone is jailbroken and i lost most of my apps in categories and the only way i can get them back is if i set up as a new phone but i want to keep all my texts

how is this possible with keeping texts

Your apps are fine. Just go into Settings > General > Restrictions and turn it on. Then exit out of the settings app and follow the same path and turn it off. They should be back. Also try resetting the homescreen layout, it settings > general > reset > reset homescreen layout.

i just did what you said to do but they arent there its because these were the apps that apple gives to u the ones i lost were notes weather stocks contacts and voice memos because i put them in categories and i didnt know u had to take them out before you restore your phone how could i do it now

How many apps do you have? Can you open them, if you search for them in spotlight?
