I just got a notification with this link to know more - about the need to upgrade my macOS since Office 2019 will support only the last 3 versions.
I don't want to and will not upgrade from Mojave until I get another new MacBook Pro with the updated OS which is until much later.
Can I still run Word / Excel 2019 on macOS Mojave without some forceful upgrade ?

I understand it as “some features will not be available for Mojave”, not that Word and Excel will not be updated.
Something like a previous requirement: “Dark Mode support ... Requires macOS Mojave.
