Hi all,

I want to switch because I like it when I use Safari on my iPhone and would like to sync it with Safari on my MBP.

And also for other reasons but I really don't want a religious war in the reactions here between the two of them.

Firefox served me well over the years. Ever since Netscape opened up the code and since the first Firefox releases I have been mainly using Firefox for almost everything on all platforms I used.

Before I switch to Safari on my MBP I would like to know is there anything like NoScript or uMatrix and a decent adblocker that will work with it?

I have in my network a DNS based adblocker but that's just at home. I really would like to be able to block bad scripts from (evil) third-party websites hence the NoScript or uMatrix.

What are my options here? :)

Not sure how much NoScript can do for you, but blocking JavaScript and other execution can be done without any extension.
I think you might also want to look at uBlock. - I don't really use Safari extensions much but that's a blocker that often gets talked about

Fellow Firefox guy here - Ublock Origin would be the best ad & malware blocker addon that you could get; I formerly used NoScript, but Ublock Origin is leagues better.

To enhance Ublock Origin, I suggest the following addition, to protect from crypto mining:

NoCoin: https://github.com/hoshsadiq/adblock-nocoin-list

ALSO: I'll attach an image that include my favorite security add-ons that really harden Firefox nicely.

Hope this helps keep your security locked down with this great browser! @MacFrag
