Hi Guys,

Any suggestion on a good APP ? I want an APP which can take full webpage screenshots on iPad. Right now I am using a app called awesome screenshot which adds a extension to safari but the kind of full webpage screenshot it takes appear distorted and weird. I have attached on how it looks on an iPad mind you it looks ok on an iPhone but not good on iPad. Does that mean that it is predominantly an iPhone APP not optimized to be used on iPad ?

So any other suggestions on this ?

Thanks !

It very well could be. Does it come up on the search if you chose only iPad apps?!

No I am not happy using this App on iPad, it does say on the search in App Store that it is also for the iPad, but I have my doubts !

Are you specifically after a screenshot? Safari has a brilliant function built in which allows you to create a pdf of a full webpage. You can then even annotate it there and then if you wish. - Just use the share button and then “create pdf”.

You can create a pdf of a webpage you are currently looking at in safari. Taping on the box with the arrow brings up options and swiping to the left brings up “create a pdf”

Just beat me to it!

Impressive. Didn’t even know this function existed. Prior to this, I was simply taking a screen shot using the power plus home button.

Now, can we expand on Safari’s create a pdf feature to include multiple pages, such as pdf’ing a thread with multiple pages.

is it there in iOS 9.3.5? :) I believe no right ? Only in iOS 11 I suppose.

If it doesn’t exist in your iOS version, then the other way to try is to press the share sheet icon and select Print. Then she the preview appears, use two fingers and zoom in..that also creates a PDF that you can then save via the share sheet.

I just checked this out feature, infact I had tried this before also, just forgot it that I had tried it aswell. Nope it does not serve the purpose, what it does is create multiple pages of a website though different but creates 4-5 pages of the homepage of a website, that is not what I am looking for. It should be like one page as I have mentioned in my attachment, just that the viewing should be optimized according to the screen of the iPad. For e.g. the Desktop browser Mozilla has a very good add on of taking a screenshot once you add to the browser as an extension, it works fantastically but that is on PC I want something for the iPad.

I just downloaded an app called Tailor. It supposedly threads screenshots together so they can be shared as one. I just downloaded the app so I'm not sure how well it works or if it works with PDF's. I'm about to test it out.

Apple should just copy Samsung's method of screenshoting. It lets you scroll and capture and is built into the OS.

Can someone tell me exactly what is different between Samsung's screen grab vs iOS Safari pdf creation. I actually didn't have to scroll to save the entire webpage, just did it for the sake of it.

The only thing I didn't like about it was the app Splice didn't allow me to upload it to youtube directly. It use to work. I had to transfer the file to my computer first, then upload to youtube. Still need my PC.

Thats creative :) but that save as PDF maybe works perhaps on iOS 11, but what about people who are on older device and do not have iOS 11 and only iOS 9.3.5 then it is a hindrance. And the other way somoneone suggested on the top to save to PDF in iBooks is horrible it just breaks the webpage in several pages which is a pain for eyes.

Can you please try making a screenshot of this URL, the entire page and post it here for my idea on how the save as PDF in iOS 11 looks like. the URL is farfetch.com

Just tried it with a longer page on farfetch.com and it doesn't work too well with extremely long web pages. If it's too long, then the PDF save cuts off the webpage.

If anyone finds a better version that will actually capture full long webpages, then please post. The keyword is long. Use farfetch.com as the guinea pig. As of right now, the Safari "create a PDF" works but not fully; there are limitations.

I’ve already mentioned it. Picsew

Works fine on any website I’ve tried

Do you have the option to save it as a pdf file, image file, etc? Can you rename the file as well? Any particular drawbacks? I personally don’t need it at this time, but good to know there’s an option besides safari. Safari’s pdf save is actually adequate fir my use at the moment.

Picsew is a Paid APP. Wanna tread cautiously. After buying if it does not fully serve the purpose. It is a $ waste !

I noticed that you opened the PDF in LiquidText. How do you like it? I just started testing it to write out notes next to some PDF's I've been doing research in.

I understand, my older truck doesn't have some of the features the newer models have. Seems to be the way of most things in life. At some point I'll need to get a newer truck. :)

I also have the free app called Readdle. The action to save the pdf file automatically brings up Readdes organization tool. What happens on your end when you try to save the webpage?
