want to unlock 3Gs 3.1.2 without wifi

Hello, i have a 3Gs phone that has been restored to 3.1.2 and then i ran blackra1n on it. But when i connect to wifi and open blackra1n icon it only shows "'check internet connection, and uninstall blackra1n". My wifi is fine and i can open pages on safari. By the way, my ISP has blocked blackra1n.com site, i think that is the problem. Now i want to unlock directly without wifi and i have "unlock_3g_3gs_3.1.2_nowifi" file. I also have 3Gs 3.1.2 custom file, can anyone explain proper procedure to unlock without wifi?

Well, they sell iphones with their plan so i guess they dont want to let people unlock their phones. Can you pls explain how to unlock without wifi, since i have the file but dont know the correct procedure?

I have no idea. If it's a .deb file, just put it on your phone and use the following command:

dpkg -i /path/to/packagename.deb

of course replacing the path and filename with the actual path and filename of your file.
 
not to threadjack here but I'm actually encountering the same issue here... I will try to operate blackra1n and install it, (while showing a wifi signal in the corner) but says check internet connection etc.

I just got a used 3g put it to 3.1.2 and cannot get it to recognize my wifi signal in blackra1n, but can open internet pages... it does seem that my internet through wifi fluctuates but my macbook shows no fluctuation in wifi signal:confused:

any help is appreciated

not sure what isp is (internet service provider? or browser)

but i have verizon fios and i am able to get to the blackra1n webiste on my computer w/ no problems on my macbook(using safari).

i hope this answers your question....

i think that the previous owner may have had the blackra1n/3g wifi issue and that may be the problem i'm having... any ideas?
 
it can be done

i can't remember right now the exact procedure but you have to download two files one was a plist and the other one a deb you have to put those files on your iphone and I just don't remember the exact place but since you don't have cydia you can't download shh so you have to use iphonebrowser is an app that let's you see your iphone's files just like ssh but if you jailbreak with blackra1n you can't do that strigth away you need to use a custom .ipsw with pwntool just google it up :)
