Id like the unlock my iphone 3g 2.2.1 "Lastest firmware" and sell it. I realize with this baseband i can not use yellowsn0w. So i was looking into more hardware unlock rather then software. I found this online, http://www.********************/ i know it just special sim card holder but least then i could sell on ebay for more since i can call it "Unlocked". Would this be my opiton and to of course jailbreak it before i decide to sell it.

One last thing i found this http://www.unlock-the-iphone.com/, its a software one, But how does it work with 2.2.1... I dont think they could be doing something that we don't already know about.

Edit: sorry it blocked my first link, but i think you could tell what i ment.

i thought so also but i found this one, i wont post link but this what it says.

2.2.1 FIRMWARE & 2.30 BASEBAND

and i'm pretty sure i have that baseband i'll have to check.

There are no (public) software unlocks for the most recent 3G baseband. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying and/or trying to make a buck off you.

Right now, your only option is a proxy SIM. I'd recommend the Rebel SIM, as that's what I've had the best luck with, but others may work as well. If you do buy a Rebel SIM, I'd recommend you do so from the manufacturer's website or from a trusted seller. Otherwise, you're liable to get an old SIM that won't work with a new phone.
