I want to update the storage of my MacBook Pro 15-inch, late 2013 from 512MB to 1GB.
I did some googling and it seems that I need to buy a 1GB SSD for my MacBook.
The installation seems to be fairly easy, but what kind of SSD do I need and where can I buy it?

You are overpaying by a lot in my opinion. Also, that drive cannot be re-used in another laptop or desktop. Getting an adapter and standard nvme drive would be a better option in my opinion.

If you use a non-Apple SSD, you will lose the ability to have deep sleep or hibernation and you'll experience higher battery drain.

Agreed. Also OWC SSDs tend to be slower than factory drives or fast 3rd party drives and adapter.
