... a 2018 iPad Pro 11 or 12.9 for which I can buy at 749€ or 849€
... compared to the new 11 or 12.9 at 879€ or 1.099 €

That's nearly 130€ (or 140$) / 250€ (or 270$) difference between the models.

As I never got laggy or to the limits on the 2015 (heavy writer, some sketching with Pencil, light photo development with Affinity, PS, VSCO) I am actually unsure, if I _REALLY_ need the newer model, or if I just can grab the new pencil or hold back the money for the new Magic Keyboard.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

As far as I "predict", both models will easily run iPadOS14 and are "future proof" for at least another 2-3 years.
I don't need AR. I own a a7m3 and iPhone 11 Pro for photography, so I couldn't care less.
I am running on iCloud Dataplan. From my currently avaible 32GB I am using 7GB ...
Anything else I should consider or is this a no-brainer getting one of the 18 models ?

Sorry for my bad english. If something is unclear, I try to be more precise.

Are they _any_ apps using them? Never had any issues with Photoshop, Procreate or Lightroom. Never had any issues managing my writing.

I don‘t do videoediting or 3D stuff ... anything else I am missing?

Got an unsued 2018 11" Pro from 13.03. for 700$.. Actually that's more than enough for the pencil 2 and a nice boost for the Magic Keyboard.

Guess I'll opt for a 5G one in 2-3 years anyways.

Where'd you find it?

I believe the amount of tabs that safari can keep open without reloading also improves with more RAM. In the past a couple people stayed that their paint / graphic design / vector apps managed more layers, more objects or was running more fluidly.
