I've been reading through so many threads, but now I think I'm more confused then I was..?

I have a 2.16 C2D 15.4 Glossy..

I want to max out my ram.. so here are some questions.

#1. The 1GB that comes with the machine: Is that 1x1GB? I just need to buy a 1x2GB, right? (EDIT: Found this answer, its 2x512 :GRR: )
#2. Anyone know the latency of the Apple factory RAM so I can match it?
#3. What is the ideal setup for Dual Channel? What needs to match the factory chip to keep dual channel?

Sorry for the redundant stupid questions. The more threads I read, the more they contradict themselves..

It should be 1x1GB in the Macbook Pro. So you only need a single 1GB stick to get to 2GB.

You can buy it from anywhere (make sure they guarantee Mac compatibility) and it will enable dual-channel memory and such.
