Want to use my 1st Gen IPhone as IPod & WIFI

I do not have a SIM for it because I have the SIM in my 3GS. I-Tunes won't do anything with it since it does not have a SIM. Is there a way I can set it up short of putting my SIM from the 3GS in? I don't want to activate it as a phone. Any suggestions?
