I know this app doesn't exist...yet...but what I'm hoping is that this post will reach potential developers out there.

I'm looking for an app that does something similar to what Final Cut Pro does with frame blending when rendering things in slow motion. The end result is something much smoother than what, for instance, the Slowmo app currently does. Here is an example of what I am looking for:



Firstly, here is what we can currently do with the Slowmo app...notice the choppiness due to it being only 30 fps:

Now, here's what has been done with FCP plus frame blending when mimicking 300 fps. And yes, this was taken with an iPhone 4 (according to the video's OP, the errors that show up on the video are the result of FCP's steady shot...without it, slow motion is rendered almost flawlessly):
