I'm looking for a To-do (or full-blown GTD) task manager, and I have some pretty specific requirements. Not a lot, but the ones I have are specific.

I'd like to sync with a computer (Mac) version of the software... NOT a Web app.

I'd like a to-do app that supports recurring tasks, but let's you decide (on a task-by-task basis) whether they recur based on date due or date completed. Some things need to be done every week. Example: If I want a reminder to wash my car once a week. If I happen to blow it off for 6 days this week, I don't want it showing "Wash the car" on back-to-back days next week. It should show up again a week from the day I complete it. Of course, other things should be repeated every Tuesday, so I do need both.

I've been using Appigio's ToDo. I love the iPhone app, but I'm tired of syncing with Web apps. I want a native Mac app with an icon badge showing the number of tasks due... Ala Mac Mail.

I'm currently test-driving Things. Has everything I need, with the exception of recurring tasks based on completion date.

Any suggestions? Does this app even exist?

Thanks.

Looks like "Things" does it after all.

Gonna continue my test drive of it. Lookin' like it may be the ticket.

I don't know a lot about Omnifocus, but it also syncs with an Omnifocus Mac counterpart, and it's by all accounts I've heard pretty full featured, or you could see what Daylite Touch brings out, but that might be a little on the expensive side (their service is aimed at small businesses I believe.
