iPhone Wanting 4s to Go

Hello and Happy New Year

A couple years back with iPhone 3G: JB+unlocked then w/ iPhone configuration Utility software created a new APN and made acvite with the 'Changer' from unlockit.co.nz

The result is that the 3G uses a GoPh simm (10c/min 5c/mb)

Just got a 'comittment free' 4s, iOS 5.1 bb 2.0.10, would like to do likewise.

Do I follow the same steps and is there a tutorial as I have forgotten if there is a specific order to the steps?

Also read that ATT will unlock - but the phone is NOT activated for me to call.

What makes you think that because something worked to unlock a jb iPhone 3G 5-6 years ago will still work for an iPhone 4S?
It does not. There is no unlock hack for the 4S.
All you can do is ask AT&T to unlock it or buy an imei unlock for it.

Try the form and you can both chat and call. Don't go in a store, they cant process any unlock requests there.

If you're using ATT's GoPhone service, all you have to do is use unlockit to add the APN to use data, no jailbreak needed. Though, on the other hand, MMS doesn't work as you need to be able to access some more APN settings and manually change them (Which at the current time, I think you can only do that by inserting a Tmobile sim card to alter those settings, still don't need to unlock though).

AT&T's policy was to unlock the device if you've used the device on the GoPhone plan for either 60 or 100 days.

What carriers sim you're trying to use on this att locked iPhone?
Do you want to use it as a phone or just activate it and use it as an iPod?

GoPhone just like the 3G. Might just trim that sim for the 4s (once set up) or perhaps get another account. Using their 10c/min 5c/mb plan works for my limited use.

Am hoping the 4s with a GoPh simm will offer LTE.

On the 3G I added a new wap.cingular APN via iPhone Config. Util. and MMS works. In fact every thing works, have had for a couple of years.

Form worked, thankfully the prior user supplied the missing blanks although perhaps I could have used my ATT landline account info.
