Wanting to Jailbreak got a few questions first

i have a normal updated 1.1.3 i have jailbroken it before, so im a bit worried incase anything goes wrong because i dont want to lose my text messages.
1. can i damage my iphone (1.1.2 OTB UK o2) by Jailbreaking
2. if i use ziphone is there any results that mean i will not lose the functionality of Mail Youtube SMS or Maps.
3. What does debug mode do (verboose mode)
4. will my phone work with 02 carriar after the Jailbreak
5. Can anyone talk me through how i do it?
6. is it as easy as everyone says.
7. is the sucess rate as high as 99%

Okay I just jailbroke my phone an hour ago. All I did was download ijailbreak on my mac opened it up and hit jailbreak a few minutes later I was done.

I have been having some trouble getting apps downloaded through fugu, but I am hoping some kind soul will help me with that.

Do it. Once you get the little stuff figured out you'll be happy.
