So if you're a Barclay Apple card holder you may be aware that they're converting it to a regular old credit card in around a week. Well I did some looking into it and Apple doesn't usually charge your card until something is going into shipping. These new iPads (and also those iMacs I think) don't ship til second half of May or later which is after the Apple 3% back on the Barclay card stops being a thing.

I went ahead and got the new Apple Card because of this and sure enough they have already charged my card for the Apple Pencil 2 but not for the iPad because it's not shipping yet. Had I used the Barclay Card I am pretty sure I would have not gotten 3% back on the iPad portion of this order whenever that ships.

Thank you for the wise warning. Will you spread the word elsewhere?

I have been using the card for years to support my App Store purchases. they just screwed the pooch with new card. It’s going in the last to use reserve pile.
