I put up a post a few days ago, saying i put the sim in the wrong way around, seems an easy mistake to make.
However, the thing got stuck 80% of the way in and would not come out more than half way.
I took it to both car phone warehouse and Apple. Both said it's my fault, i argued that a)it doesn't come with instructions so in my defense I didn't know i put it in the wrong way and b) it's a manufacturers defect where the thing can get jammed so easily.
After they called Apple head office they came back and told me i would need to pay £146 for that tiny piece of plastic that the sim card goes on as it needs to go in for repair. I said what if i get the thing out myself and it snaps, how much for that tiny piece of plastic, they said £146 ($300) as i can't just buy it, i need to send it in.
Needless to say i was shocked to see that such a simple error that anyone could make is going to cost me $300, and further more they refused to sell me a piece of plastic that can't cost more than $1 to make (if that).
Today i went to a different branch of the store after the sim card reader snapped when i pulled it out yesterday and i was EXTREMELY lucky that the guy that was serving me today seemed half asleep.
I said to him that the card was stuck but i got it out and the phone keeps crashing, he took the card reader out (which made my heart stop) and just put it in again, and swapped the phone over.
The point of this is to warn you all the be EXTRA cautious when putting the sim back in as if you put in the wrong way it will get stuck and is not covered by the warranty and will cost you $300 to fix this problem. I dont want someone to go through the bull i had to.
They said i must of used extreme force to put in the wrong way, bull, it went in very easily almost all the way then got stuck.
