So after anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new MacBook Pro (2.4GHz, 7200 RPM 160 GB, 15") - I found everything to be in perfect order - except for the track pad.

It's warped (raised on the top righ hand corner only - I packed it back up and will now have to call Apple Care tomorrow morning as they are closed for the night...has anyone else had this problem?

Please tell me that they will just send a replacement - I don't think that I should have to deal with a "repaired" new computer....

I had this problem along with other problems (logic board) & Apple repaired it 3 times before replacing it with a SR MBP. This was a core duo MBP.Good luck getting it repined Apple care has pretty good service. They are open 24 hours I think.

The tech support guy said that the department that I should be talking with was closed at 9pm EST - I'd have to call back in the morning - tech support could not help with this situation - he also stated that there were no other records of this type of issue...

Update: MacBook Pro to be replaced

So after an hour and 20 minutes on the phone with Apple this morning, they are going to be replacing my laptop...hope the next one turns out better.
