I have attached a picture of my C2D MBP, i have increased the contrast so the focus is on the lid. It was never like this when i first got it, but it never gets hot, so im not sure what has caused this. Compare the far left with the far right.

that lid looks fine to me, most of the mbpro lids i've seen have the left and right side lifting up a bit higher than the middle.

Same experience here -- almost all of the ones I've used have one side that sits a little higher when closed.

looks like you dropped it or something...do cd's work in the drive because it looks crooked...

Haha, i have never dropped it, no scratches on it or anything. Everything is working. If you look at the far left, its flushed up against the bottom, the right side is leaving a gap

Mine also has the two corners of the screen 2 or 3 mm higher than the center (latch) part. Yours looks better than most. Don't worry about it, and enjoy your computer.

This looks pretty normal. I had a lid on a PowerBook that was so warped it wouldn't latch closed and Apple replaced it under warrantee. Doesn't look like you're in that territory though.

The lid looks fine. Maybe it's the picture, but it looks warped between the case and the keyboard.

Believe it or not, mine doesn't do that. Though every single one I've seen does. I must have a holy one.

if i was spending 2-3k on a laptop, it better be perfect.
I guess it's all in how you define perfection.

If the distance between the lid and the main body not being 100% even when closed bothers you enough to consider the model flawed, then I'd highly suggest you not buy one.
