Question A:

Does every iPhone have a warranty or do I need the apple care plan? I was never told anything about the apple plan when I bought the phone, but one of my friends thinks I might be in trouble.

Question B:

I think my headphone jack is showing water damage, but I do not believe that my phone has ever had more than a few rain drops on it.

Question C:

Where exactly is the other tester?

Question D:

Anyone have any problems with their phone just stop charging? This is what has happened to mine. It is now completely dead and will not turn on.

Thanks for any and all help!!

A. All iPhones (and all other Apple products) come with a 1 year warranty. You can extend this warranty by purchasing AppleCare sometime before the first year is over. This only covers defects, not accidental or water damage.

B & C. There are 3 sensors on the phone. 1 in the headphone jack, 1 in the dock port, and 1 inside the phone. If ANY of these are showing as red, Apple will 99% deny you warranty service. You can try to argue with them, but i doubt you'd get far. Don't use your phone in the rain!! Apple can offer discounted out-of-warranty replacements. I believe they are $199.

D. Have you tried using different USB ports on your computer? Different computers? or the wall charger? Make sure it is the phone and not one of the other parts.
