Okay, gonna rewrite my entire thread since I did some serious searching and am up way too late now.

I have a week 29 4GB phone. Upgraded to 1.1.4 before I did any jailbreaking and I'm an AT&T customer. At that point, I used ZiPhone to jailbreak my phone. All went well and my phone got even better reception it seemed, so I had none of the wifi/youtube problems I've heard about.

I need to take my phone in for warranty work(touchscreen issues x2). I understand that since I have an early phone, my bootloader is not an issue at this point. When I restore, my bootloader will look as if I never jailbroke. My question is about the baseband. It's sitting right now at 04.04.05_G. My idea was to do a full restore to 1.1.4, downgrade to 1.1.2, then back to 1.1.4. I would think my phone should be as good as new at this point. Or am I wrong? I keep reading about the pwntool and BootNeuter. Am I going to need to mess with any of this? I'm on a powermac running 10.4.11 if it matters.

thanks a ton!

I'd also like to know about this.

I used ZiPhone yesterday and did a 'Unlock, Jailbreak & Activate'. Everything worked except that reception went down.

Later on I did a restore via iTunes and now I'm back to regular old 1.1.4 and the phone works fine.

Is this phone back in its 'virgin' state or is it easy to tell that the phone has been modified. I keep reading about people saying ZiPhone makes irreversible changes to the phone so I just wanted to find out.

This is a launch day iPhone.

EDIT: Is it safe to use iLiberty+ at this point (to jailbreak) or do I risk breaking my phone?
