hey all--just a quick question. I purchased my Macbook in July and I didn't purchase the applecare option--is this the warranty? Does the macbook come with a warranty without buying the extra? Can anyone help me out?

Apple Care just adds a couple years warranty to the warranty, and extends the free 90 day phone support to 3 years.

Without Apple Care, it may be a little more work to get help on the phone, or they may ask you for a credit card number.

Edit...

To add to what Sun Baked said, you are able to purchase Apple Care anytime within the one year warranty that comes with the product.

Apple charges $250 for Applecare. Get Applecare off Ebay for around $150 and save yourself some cash.

You can do that!? How do they get it so cheap? I have not bought my applecare yet, but that would rock!!!! :D
