I was wondering if anyone knew how the 1 year iPhone warranty works. My problem is I dropped my phone and it landed on the sleep button. Visually it just knicked it but now the button sits in the phone a little loose. And now it only works about 75% of the time. Will the warranty somehow help my carelessness?

How great is the physical damage? Technically, as a matter of fact, no, they will not cover it. However, all moral guilt trips aside, if there is little to no physical damage on the phone, they will probably take it, but under warranty limitations and fine print, they do not cover user created damage.

Unfortunately it has a spot on the button the size of the tip of a bic pen. Oh well it was my fault anyway. Thanks for the reply.
