Good evening everyone, I hope I am not repeating a similar problem and have posted the question in the appropriate thread.

I need some help with my new Watch Se 2 gen bought on Amazon.es 1 week ago.

As you can see in the picture, the screen has a small round mark, as if it had a swelling on the screen behind the glass, the surface does not show any scratches, it has not received any blows or pressure as it has hardly been used at home waiting for the bumper to arrive. Amazon refuses to offer me a replacement, which would be the cleanest and fastest option, only offers me a refund (now it is more expensive) or contact apple. I honestly don't know what to do, it's the first time this has happened to me with an apple product. Have you seen a similar manufacturing defect? Thanks in advance.

If it’s brand new, it’s covered under AppleCare. Call Apple Support or go to Apple Store with Amazon receipt. If it is Amazon Refurbished, you have to deal with Amazon. Best of luck.

Yes! That's the best option to go for the Apple store with the receipt. Hopefully, you will solve this matter.

I just checked and noticed the same thing on my S6 that I just replaced using AppleCare+. It's in the upper right but looks similar to your pic. Only time I can see it is in direct sunlight with the screen off. I never checked my original watch so not sure if it's common or an issue. Maybe others can chime in after inspecting their watches..

This is an anomaly on the OLED panel and is common on most watches I’ve checked out. Best not to look for it but it’s not related to water intrusion.

Amazon (at least here in the UK), have a very generous return policy. If it were me, I'd be returning it ASAP.

Thank you very much for your messages. The bubble is only seen with the screen off and putting a strong light on it. If it is an OLED problem, it should be fixed by the warranty. I hope that the replacement that Apple offers me is not a refurbished one or a new one with the same problem (if this is one of those acceptable problems). I don't know, on Monday they come to bring me the box for the return, curiously it comes from the Czech Republic to Spain.

Checked my Series 2, 7 and 9 and all have the display in perfect condition.
It's not easily seen. You have to be in strong sunlight and continue to tilt the screen until you start to see rainbow effects and not a pure black screen. I wouldn't of ever seen it as I don't tilt the watch in all sorts of angles looking for something like this

Please update this thread if your replacement watch has this same issue or not. I'm contemplating getting my watch replaced if it is a defect.

And how do you know i wasnt in full sunlight ? :p C’mon bro.
I checked the watches on the 2nd floor terrace on my property and put them on the table under full sun in midday.

Hi, the watch has arrived, it does not have the bubble that the other one had. It was picked up on Monday and today Wednesday at home, impeccable service from Apple. Made in Thailand instead of China, battery health at 100%, as it could not be otherwise. I hope my wife will use it for many years and will be happy with the gift. If there are any problems I will update this thread. Thanks for your comments.

Just received a response after examining the watch at the service center. They couldn't duplicate the condition. The in store Specialist saw the defect on the oled panel and even took a picture of it but apparently the people at the service center don't trust the people that work at the stores because they took no action and are returning the watch.. Guess more serious damage is required to get the watch replaced.. Just hope they didn't scratch the watch up while it was in their possession..

Hi there,

I just purchased an AWU 2 and noticed it had a bubble on the top left of the screen. It was only visible in certain light and you could see a slight change in the oled screen due to the bubble.

It did not affect the operation of my watch, but since I found out it was there, it constantly bugged me.

Took it to Apple who agreed by 2 people that they could see the issue. They opened another brand new ultra 2, and had the exact same issue in the exact same spot. Got a third one brand new, opened and inspected thoroughly and didn’t have the issue!!

Super weird, but looks like a poor QA by apple.

However, positive side it Apple were amazing to deal with and spent about 45 mins with me working through the problem. Absolutely no complaints as amazing service from them.
