Watching Live T.V. off Internet

Ok, so I have been reading and reading and also downloading and downloading software that is supposded to allow streaming of live tv to the mac. Well either I can't figure it out or it isn't possible just yet.

I have joost/hula and boxee for when I really want to watch something but with football season coming up it would be nice to be able to catch some games.

I guess what I should have said earlier is, I don't want to have to put a tv in my house unless I have to. My cinema display is fine with me.

Any advice you guys may have let me know. Thanks

I wasn't aware that any outlets were streaming live television broadcasts, at least on a regular basis (the inauguration notwithstanding).

Get an EyeTV from Elgato and connect it to an antenna or to your cable/satellite coax and you can watch and record live TV on your computer.

As of now there are not many options but they are evolving.

I used to have one of the older Eyetv's -- is the new one much different/better?
