Watching tv on a mac

i have a macbook pro now and i have verizon fios tv with a dvr and verizon only has a program to connect the dvr to windows is there a third party software?

Have you tried just connecting it and see if it works?

Do you happen to have a license for Windows? You can install it in VMWare Fusion or Parallels and do it that way.
