On MBA Rev2/SSD after watching 3-4 minutes into a video, on a flat wooden desk, in the new "Watch in HD" format which is suppose to be 720p, the fans rev to 6200rpm and temp at 80C. Mind you I am still in safari and not watching YouTube's full screen mode. And recovery times for the fan to slow down even when it's back to 50C is a bit long. Is this normal behavior for a Rev2?

Sounds fairly normal to me, I can get mine into the upper 70º Celsius range watching HD video's online. Now my early 08 model would climb close to 90º Celsius watching the same video's.

I can't hear mine, but it is at 6200 rpm when the temps climb that high. If I wasn't looking at iStat I wouldn't know the fan was on.

I'm upgrading from a white macbook, and though it serves most of my needs, it's very loud, so for me the hope was that rev B would be quite when just viewing web pages.

I just watched about 12 minutes of HD YouTube in fullscreen at full brightness. My fan got up to 6200 and my temp was in the mid 70's celsius. Peaked at 78. Also, I'm on a Rev A that I bought last week on sale for $1150. Very happy with it.

Where did you get it for $1150 I am also interested in buying a Rev A and that price is really appealing....

Thanks
