I updated both my iPhone 11 and Apple Watch Series 6 to OS 15 and OS 8, respectively. I have noticed a lag/delay with messages syncing on time when text is sent or received on my watch. For example, if I send a message from phone that says okay, the watch will still say I am leaving now and doesn't display "ok".

I unpaired the watch and it still keeps happening. Is anyone else experiencing this?

If I’m confusing you I apologize but I guess it’s hard to explain.

This might not be an iOS 15 thing. I haven't updated yet and my watch has seemed to be showing delayed text as well recently. Maybe a minute or so behind the phone? Not sure, I haven't got a handle on it yet. So maybe it's on the server side at apple.

I don't have an Apple Watch, but I’ve noticed for a long time that updating of text messages and emails varies widely on my MacBook Pro, iPhone XR, iPad mini 5, and iPad Air 2020. I think that is just an iCloud thing that has been around a while. Sometimes one or more devices take minutes, or even hours in rare cases, to update, even though they all have good connections.

I tried to restore to a new watch and I am still experiencing the same issues. Prior to updating everything on Monday, I never once had this issue.

If you hear of any of the same issues or fixes please let me know.

Have you tried logging out of iCloud and back in on the devices that are mis-behaving? That is a commonly recommended first thing to try for iCloud update issues.

I’m seeing this too. When I look at messages on my watch it takes a few seconds for it to refresh and show the most recent message. I’ll try the old turn off watch, turn off phone, turn phone on, turn watch on.

It's an annoying bug that I believe won't be fixed until a software update. I have tried everything multiple of times.
