Hi there,

I have water damage on my M1 MacBook Pro 14 inch, and the WIFI & BLUETOOTH are not working. Any suggestions for fixing, either by opening up MacBook Pro, or connecting a WIFI/BLUETOOTH dongle? Please advise. Also, it's important to let people know, that an Apple repairer, could not fix those two items.

Wi-Fi module is strictly connected to cpu. There’ll be logic board replace.

If only Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are broken but everything else is working fine, a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter will be significantly cheaper...

That being said, it's likely the water did more damage than just breaking your Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module, you probably at the very least significantly shortened the lifespan of more components.

Thanks guys for your replies. It was taken to a repairer who managed to fix the mother-board damage and it starts but could not fix the wifi-bluetooth modules.

Also, I did check with MACFIXIT and they suggested an Amazon WIFI-BLUETOOTH dongle attachment as well, which apparently they do not sell, but Amazon does for about $40.00 Australian dollars.

Does anyone have any idea of a new mother-board price for an M1 MacBook Pro, if it's worth fixing or going for a new machine?

A motherboard replacement for a MBP 14" is going to be EXPENSIVE. Might as well get a new computer.

I suggest you get a wifi dongle and use that in place of wifi.

I suggest you just leave bluetooth "off and dead". Use non-bluetooth devices when you need to.

If you have money, you could get a replacement and perhaps sell the old one for parts.

I also suggest you get a waterproof carrying case, etc., for future use.
