is there any steps that I could take to fix a 80GB iPod Classic's HDD that was damaged by water? it seems to just be the HDD which makes some bad noises, sounds like the actuator arm is screwed up bad or maybe the platters were warped IDK
any specific way I could dry this out? the damage happened awhile ago, I bought this from a friend for $10 I was going to buy a zune or some crap to replace my Photo that has been giving me problems with the HDD in which I upgraded it to a 10GB drive from a 20... but my car's adapter only takes a dock connector, so I might as well stick to the iPod family
or is it possibly to pick up an iPod Video HDD and put it in, since they are both ZIF drives.. I dont mind only having 30GB, its better than 10...
but if there is a way to fix this 80GB drive I would like to, ...HIIIIGHLY DOUBTFUL though
I already opened it up, and checked it out, and for some reason it wont go into disk mode...
