Hi all-

Today I was bored, so I decided to take pictures of water droplets. Here are five of some of the better ones I took. Constructive criticism is welcome :)

Those are pretty bad A man. What did you use to shoot them? and where also??>
Thanks! I used my D90 with a 70-300mm lens and a SB-600 speed light. I should have taken a picture of my setup, but what I did was I got a black dish with water and then I got a tripod and taped a bag of water and poked a pinhole in the side to get a steady steam of droplets of water. Then for the colors, I had a piece of paper behind the whole setup with different colors (I used blue and a blue green gradient I made quickly on photoshop), and I used the SB-600 to bounce the flash off of the paper to illuminate the water in the different colors.

quality seems pretty good. But why is the third picture so blueish?
Probably because I used a blue piece of paper to bounce the flash off of and the white balance was set to "Incandescent"

Cool. I had a stab at this a while back. Added some milk and food colouring to the water...

Hey, great work! Could you upload the original photo of the first image please? I'd love it as a wallpaper on my iMac.

The first one would be an amazing picture if both the droplets were in focus. Although, I can imagine that'd be a teeny bit harder to do :p

I really wish that I could have gotten both of them in focus, but like you said, it would have been just a wee bit harder :D
