Hi there! Sorry for the long and (tbh) moronic post to follow.

I have a 2018 iPad 11” with slight water exposure and I’m experiencing some charging issues. I’m throwing this out to the forum as to whether I need to find professional assistance.

Long story short, I had my iPad resting on the ground (standing up against a wall) one night and in my sleep I knocked a glass of water over. I groggily felt around and it seemed fine, but when I arose the next day, I realized that the bottom part of my iPad had been sitting in damp carpet for a couple of hours. I dried it out with paper towels, getting into the charging port (which is what had been resting on the ground) particularly and tried charging it to make sure nothing was wrong. After a little finagling I got it charging and so I figured everything was alright.

That was about a month ago. Ever since it’s been a struggle to keep it charging. My 30W fast charger doesn’t work with either of the USBC cords I have to charge it, neither does the standard brick the iPad came with. I can charge it at the moment using a C-C cord from a C outlet on a computer, as well as a standard iPhone brick with a 2.0 to C cord I have. Occasionally if it’s being particularly finicky I have to blow into the iPads C port like an old SNES cart which gets the charging connection to work.

Has anyone experience with similar issues, and if so should I take it to a repair center in anticipation of the problems getting worse? As it is, the battery in it is amazing, so if I need to leave it on the 2.0-C charger every other night that’s fine. What I’m really concerned about is whether I’m going to plug it in to that charger in a month and not be able to get it charging.

I truly appreciate any advice y’all can offer. Thanks!
