I'm trying to order this thing and I want the strap. Under #5 what is the difference between the "strap" and the "suspension strap?" I just want a strap. But I can see them sending me the strap without the D rings or something.

Thanks

Regardless of which option you take, you will get the D-rings. I guess the suspension strap is just a fancier strap that distributes load better? Email heygary@sfbags.com and I'm sure they will shoot you a reply shortly.

Correct. The suspension strap has more give to it so that as the bag gets heavier with the more stuff you put in it, you will get more give so it's not pulling on your shoulder/back as much.

The regular strap is really light and doesn't have a shoulder pad. You have to have the D rings to get either strap as the other posters have said. i have the non-suspension strap (the $12 one) and it is very light and doesn't have that padded shoulder support that a lot of laptop shoulder straps have. I really like it. It keeps the whole bag light. It also is long enough to wear diagonally across my chest with plenty of room to spare.
