Is there a way to add an icon to an iPhone X's homescreen that would make it simple for my aging mother to directly contact me using video chat, either using WhatsApp or Skype (or something else)? Preferably with just one or two clicks?

I'm afraid not, though I have one for testing web apps, so I suppose I could just for her ... prefer not to get locked into the Apple garden though.
