i was wondering if there was a way where i could hook up my xbox 360 to my imac to use the imac's built in display? like an adapter or something?? please help that would be awesome

The only way i know to do it is through a TV tuner, such as an EyeTV hardware device. They aren't real cheap, and you need to make sure they have a 'hardware encoding off' function (a lot of times called game mode) which will take more comp. power but will result in lag free play. Hardware encoding producing a couple second lag time between source and screen.

With a setup like this you could also plug in a TV cable service cable and have TV on your Mac too with full DVR functionaltiy (this is what I have and its awesome)

thebrain74, what is the quality of the TV when you run thru the eyetv hardware? i've always been curious about that.

to the OP, unfortunately, i think there aren't a lot of options for what you want. there is hope that the next refresh will include some kind of input for the monitors. but until then...
