Buried way down in Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Significant Location used to be the list of all "frequent locations" your phone had logged over the past few months.

I have long used this as a handy way to track business travel, since I always forget to actually keep track of when I went where and for how long. I could just go in, look at the log of locations, and get a rough but good-enough-for-what-I-need idea of when I arrived at a work site and when I left, and at the very least what days I was out in the field and if I made more than one trip.

Doing my first timesheet since upgrading to a 13 Pro and iOS 15 and expecting to have some of the history maybe reset, I discovered that now it shows 72 records logged over the past two months, but there is now no way to actually display them like there used to be. A handful of recent ones from the last 24 hours appear with time ranges and a map (no longer says how I got there), but the detailed display of all records seems to be unavailable.

Is there some other way to extract this data on iOS 15, since it's apparently still stored? Is my favorite hidden feature now lost because some jerks somewhere were abusing it to spy on family members?

It appears that this is a "known issue" an apparently not the way it's supposed to work. Whether and how quickly it will actually get fixed, we shall see.

Apple Support suggested turning off Frequent Locations, rebooting the phone, and turning it back on as a solution, but that seems likely to wipe out all existing records so I'm reluctant to try until I see whether it's fixed in the next update or two. It's not even definite that this procedure will fix it.

I echo everything that makosuke has said. I'm hesitant to try to do any fixes myself, which may risk losing the data that is there. It also appears that time is ticking for anyone using significant location for invoicing. Apple seems to only retain data from the past 30 days (roughly).

We are at the mercy of apple.

I wouldn't bother with trying to reset. I did that and it didn't fix it for me. Still can't see a list and only the summary numbers. Can't see the list on my Mac either. Started on 15.0 and still an issue on 15.1 b4.

It is worst now after upgrade to 15.2, it only shows the current location, don't even have today history.

I regularly used the listing for personal reasons, especially for documenting locations visited during restricted shopping over the last 22 months due to Covid-19 threat. I want it back.

You can use Google map timeline if you don't mind location icon is on all day long and it uses a lot of battery.

Apple Feedback.

It’s the same on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I suspect this is just a bug. iOS 15 is has been the most buggy version of iOS by a significant margin for me. I’ve been using iOS since the iPhone 5 with iOS 6

May be it depends on location and not fix for every country yet. Showing 24 hours activities for me in iPhone 11 and 13 Pro.

I have reported this to Apple with FB9803197 but it’s still at „No similar reports“. I don’t understand it because some reports doesn’t change their status for years.

I don’t think this is normal. How come I can’t see my locations anymore? Is this a bug? How do I access it?

I've been fascinated by this feature for years. Especially now when only my device can see the records. This feature should work as well as something like screen time, and fully controlled by the user. After all, it shouldn't exist at all.
