Hi
Whenever I switch the 3G option on, the reception of the phone goes down to about 1-2 bars. As soon as I turn it off, the reception is full.

Also, can you receive phone calls with 3G turned on?

if 3G is on and you have 3G reception it will use 3G/HSDPA for calls and internet access etc.

if you turn it off it will use GPRS/Edge for calls / internet access

its either / or.

unless you have 3G on and lose 3G connection it will drop back to GPRS/Edge.
